This is a solid piece of clay, sold raw. However a layer of sealer is recommended before installation. It measures 12"" from side to side (vertical) and 9"" left to right. Each piece covers about 80 sq in. Using a 3/8"" grout an average of 85 sq in will be covered with this piece (approximately 1.7 pieces per square feet).
