This is a solid piece of clay, sold raw. However a layer of sealer is recommended before installation. It covers 0.92 sq ft. If a 1/2"" grout is used, then a full square foot will be covered. This Saltillo floor tile can be used in different forms, as shown in one of the pictures, Talavera tile can be intermixed to create beautiful patterns too.
